Equus Fan Trip adjustments due to delay of Half-Blood Prince

Most of you are aware of the development late last week from Warner Brothers -- their decision to delay the opening of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince until July of 2009. As you can imagine our office has been working on overdrive to fill this piece of your upcoming EQUUS tour in New York City.

First, the big news

We are very excited to announce a major enhancement to the included Equus Workshop. After seeing this riveting and astonishing play, you will have the special opportunity to meet a cast member from the Broadway company of Equus. On the following day, you will arrive at a rehearsal studio where Broadway auditions and rehearsals actually take place. You will have an insider experience of the Broadway Theatre scene, with an in-depth discussion about this extraordinary play. The Equus cast member will share his journey in being a part of this Tony Award-winning play, adding insights into the script, sharing his rehearsal experience and giving you behind-the-scenes stories in an intimate setting. You will be able to ask questions and discuss your experience as well -- how the play spoke to you. There will be time afterwards for photographs and autograph signing.

Because of the magnitude and publicity of this Broadway production of Equus, security will be enforced, so please bring a picture ID to this event to insure that you will be allowed into the rehearsal room. This is an exclusive event and will be kept secret for only those participating. We would like to keep the paparazzi at bay in order for the actor to feel comfortable and be accessible to the workshop participants. A truly exciting experience, one you'll never forget!

Exclusive scavenger hunt at Madme Tussauds added!

Then, on November 21st you'll spend an evening at Madame Tussauds at Times Square in NYC! We are quite excited about this activity and know you will be too. The evening will start at Madame Tussauds on the top floor. Here you will be given instructions to participate in an HP Fan Trips™ exclusive scavenger hunt: "6 Degrees of Harry Potter." This game will take you on a self-guided hunt through the three floors of the museum answering clues, and in the process viewing the 200 characters from political, historical, pop, Hollywood, sports and cultural figures! After awarding PRIZES to the scavenger hunt winners, you can spend some time at the American Idol interactive Karaoke where you can sing for "Simon" and hear his critique. End the evening with a 4D multisensory showing of the Polar Express – imagine – 4D! We are excited to work with Madame Tussauds to offer this very special and fun evening for you!

The New York Equus HP Fan Trips™ is on and is even more exciting than before!

We realize that despite the opportunity to meet a cast member from Equus, some fans may choose to change their travel plans. If anyone wishes to cancel their EQUUS trip we will be extending the current cancellation policy until TUESDAY, AUGUST 26 – BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS, 5:00PM Mountain time. If you wish to cancel you need to notify our office in writing by email or fax before that time. The current penalty is $250.00/person for cancellation. After Tuesday, the cancellation penalty will return to the normal 75% of the total price of the trip.
