Leave York for London stopping on the way in Oxford for a visit to Christ Church College (the design of the dining room was the basis for the Hogwarts Hospital wing) and the Bodleian Library. Close to Christchurch, the group will enjoy a picnic lunch and listen to storyteller in which Tolkien (and his connections with Oxford) will feature. Soon after an early lunch, the group will leave Oxford and head south on their journey to London. Upon arrival in London, enjoy a sightseeing tour of London which will include a visit to the Tower of London. The Tower has themed events running throughout the year with costumed players bringing history to life and interacting with visitors. Our storyteller will discuss the history of wizards in Britain's myths and legends. Dinner this evening is at leisure. |
